Intentional Teaching, Now in Stereo

Intentional TeachingI am happy to share the news that starting November 1st, Intentional Teaching won’t just be a newsletter, but also a podcast!

From 2016 to 2022, I produced and hosted Leading Lines, a podcast on educational technology in higher education. Leading Lines was a fantastic experience, mainly because it gave me the chance to talk to people throughout higher education doing innovative and effective work in teaching and learning. I learned a lot from old and new colleagues alike, and I’m excited to continue having fascinating conversations with the wider teaching community on the new Intentional Teaching podcast.

I’ve posted a trailer you can listen to now, and you can go ahead and subscribe in most of the usual places you get your podcasts. Just search for “Intentional Teaching” wherever you listen to podcasts. Depending on when you read this, the new podcast might not show up in search just yet, so here are some direct links for you to use: Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Overcast, and the RSS feed. (If you listen using Downcast, the app I recommended a few weeks ago, you can add a new podcast manually using an RSS feed, even before a podcast shows up in the search directory.)

Right now, I’m planning two podcast episodes a month, each featuring an interview with an educator sharing foundational teaching practices or exploring new ideas in teaching. As with the newsletter, I hope that the new podcast helps you be more intentional in how you teach and in how you develop as a teacher over time.
