Twitter 101 Email to Listserv

I’m heading up the POD Twitter Team (http://tinyurl.com/podtwitterteam) for the conference next week.  I’m looking forward to a healthy and productive backchannel conversation on Twitter during the conference!

Since many of you are new to Twitter, I’ve prepared a “Twitter 101” to help you learn about Twitter and how it will be used at the conference.  The intro comes in two versions:

  • http://screencast.com/t/Sf1wAW8ta – This is a five-minute video I’ve narrated that introduces Twitter and shows (using lots of screenshots) how you can get started using Twitter.
  • http://prezi.com/woab_ix3hvt0 – This is a version of the Prezi I used in the video.  This version has no audio narration, but it has the same information in text form.  It also allows you to move forward and backward through the presentation at your own speed.

I hope these are helpful!  Don’t forget that you can see the latest conference “tweets” here: http://search.twitter.com/search?q=%23pod10

Your colleagues are already tweeting, even though the conference hasn’t started!  Also, if you’re on Twitter, please use the #POD10 hashtag so that we can find your conference-related tweets.

Thanks!
Derek
